In Afghanistan I taught management at an engineering college. I was also Deputy Minister for Urban Development, I had the best car with a driver and a five storey house which was paid for. Coming to the UK I had to become more self sustainable in my life to do practical things that I never thought about, doing the garden and allotment are part of that.
When we moved here the garden was covered in brambles and rubbish I wanted to make somewhere good that I can sit and enjoy with my family. It costs nothing but is priceless to me. Shift and change are difficult but you hold hell or heaven in your own hands.

Thank you for being my teacher on this issue. My partner and i
enjoyed your article quite definitely and most of all enjoyed
the way you handled the areas I considered to be controversial.
You are always rather kind towards readers like me and let me in my existence.
    Thank you.
